AN EVENING WITH PIERS LANE AND OUR 2016 AWARD RECIPIENTS

OUR MAJOR FUNDRAISING EVENT FOR 2017
Our patron, world famous Australian pianist, Piers Lane, will host a concert by the two recipients of our 2016 awards program, Alexander Yau and Ayesha Gough. At this intimate gathering Piers will chat to Ayesha and Alexander about their plans and aspirations as they tackle the daunting task of making it on the crowded stage of concert pianists. And, of course, he’ll talk with them about the music they’ll play.

You may have seen and heard Piers in his role as artistic director of the Sydney International Piano Competition of Australia last year. In addition to his world class piano playing, he is master speaker. We look forward his insights into music and to Piers the story-teller.

Alexander was the 2016 Theme and Variations Emerging Artist and has just performed representing the foundation in the Canberra International Music Festival. Ayesha was one of the 32 competitors in the 2016 Sydney International Piano Competition and has recently participated in the Hamamatsu International Piano Academy, Japan.
